The best way to keep your child safe in the car is to use the right car seat in the right way. The New Bedford Health Department has several National Child Passenger Safety (CPS) certified technicians and offers car seat safety services in multiple languages.

What we inspect for:

Proper sizing of seat and restraints
Product Recalls
Defects and expirations
Proper installation of the seat
