The Development Team’s mission is to optimize the amount of resources available to the City of New Bedford through the development of grant proposals, in kind donations, and other innovative funding strategies. In addition, the Team will assist in:

• Identifying and prioritizing funding needs
• Assessing the feasibility of support for each need
• Developing a list of initiatives for potential funding

Once projects have been defined, staff will assist in assembling a project team to lead the development process. The Development team also plans on developing an open database of resources to aid in the search for funding
